ABOUT

Founded by Susan Elena in 2004, Blaze began life as a Youth Dance Company constantly seeking to improve their skills and perform to new audiences, gradually growing to become the company it is today.

The company now comprises the adult performance group known simply as Blaze and the Blaze Dance Academy for children and young people eager to develop their dance skills in a fun, imaginative way.

Blaze

Blaze has performed with FireBox Dance Theatre in Oran Mor, The Tramway and Gilmorehill G12 Theatre. Blaze dancers were also invited to perform on a BBC Digital ident and Susan has appeared on Radio Scotland's Fred MacAuley and Co teaching dance to a complete novice.

Blaze Dance Academy

Blaze Dance Academy accepts children from the age of 3 to study a range of dance styles to BATD exam standard. We combine the techniques of Ballet, Tap & Modern Dance with more informal styles such as Street Dance, Creative Movement & Hip Hop for Boys to produce an academy of dancers who are confident and talented.

We produce an academy performance each year and have regular sharing days so parents can pop in and see what they're child is achieving.

Our next enrollment day is Saturday 20th August 12pm-4pm at Dance HQ.
